To The Editor:

Oh, Route 100, please accept my apology for taking you for granted for so many years! For over 30 years you have carried me to work, to and from I-89 for adventures outside of Washington County, and north and south to other parts of the Green Mountain State. And now when you are experiencing a major and necessary facelift all I can do is complain about my inconvenience and my challenges moving around The Valley. So no more whining – I will make it through this summer construction and enjoy the results before autumn arrives. I shall plan ahead, leave early and find alternate routes. And let us all remember that some alternate routes like East Warren Road and Waitsfield Common Road have lower speed limits and narrower shoulders and lots of bicycle and foot traffic.

Kudos to the Waitsfield road crew for excellent grading and their efforts to reduce the dust.
