To The Editor:
This year’s election for two seats on the Waitsfield Select Board is an opportunity to retain the current chair and vice chair, Sal and Charlie. I would like to show them some appreciation for endless hours seeing to Waitsfield’s affairs. Voting to keep them for another term will help solidify the current approach to town management that is clearly bearing fruit. Taxes have been stable for quite a while, infrastructure projects are getting done, new projects are being carefully considered and we have ended a number of long-standing lawsuits. Current board members have good skills and a variety of opinions. Despite long and sometimes difficult debates, the members show a great deal of respect for each other’s points of view and generally come to agreement on most issues. It is a system that works and it’s because of these two people being on the board. If it isn’t broke, don’t fix it.
