To The Editor:

We want to express our deepest gratitude and appreciation to Win, Adam and the rest of the Sugarbush team for their dedication, care and commitment to the Mad River Valley community. By keeping Lincoln Peak open to the very end of the practical limits of nature, they surpassed all expectations and most likely diminished their overall profit for the season by doing so.

At 5:10 p.m. on beautiful Saturday, May 4, when the “lifty” at the top of the Valley House Double greeted us upon disembarkation and wished us a great final run and summer season while looking forward to seeing us again in the winter, we experienced many feelings – sadness, gratitude, joy and appreciation. He, seeming sad as well, further hoped that we “had a great ski season.” Wow! Parting is such sweet sorrow! For us 2013 was the best spring season ever and we will cherish the memories for a very long time.

The long-term commitment to our local economy and the well-being of the greater community by Sugarbush is evidenced on so many levels and must be recognized, prized and applauded. This is an amazing place to be and Sugarbush is one of our brightest stars. Thank you Sugarbush for a great season, again!

Bravo,

Nicholas and AnnMarie Harmon
