To The Editor:
We just knew that the Republicans would try to blame the hurricane for their defeat, even though the tracking polls before and after the storm predicted the same outcome.
Once again we see that the election of our governor every two years is a waste of energy and money. In most other states, they have four year terms. If four years is good enough for our president, it's good enough for our governor. This is an executive position, not a junior college.
On the other hand, with regard to the U.S. House of Representatives, two years is quite sufficient, notwithstanding the excellent Peter Welch and several other competent people. As someone said, like diapers, they should be changed frequently and for the same reason.
