Last October Lily Stilwell from Fayston, Vermont was left paralyzed from the waist down after a car accident. After going through a lengthy rehab she returned to a home that was not wheel chair accessible, making it very difficult for her to do many things, including getting through doors. Brooke Cunningham, who lives in Waitsfield Vermont, heard of Lily's struggles through Trish Hopkins, also of Waitsfield Vermont, who had been doing physical therapy for Lily. After hearing the story, Brooke reached out to a friend at the Yestermorrow design and build school, Buzz Ferver, to help lead the project. And others, many others, got involved as well.
