Professional mountain bikers and competitive amateurs will descend on Sugarbush Resort from June 15 to 17 to race in the U.S. Grand Prix of Mountain Biking.

The four-stop national tour attracts top athletes in downhill mountain bike racing from around the world. Promoting a competitive and fan-friendly atmosphere, the U.S. Grand Prix of Mountain Biking attracts an average of 300 athletes per race.

"The mountain bike trail system we have developed at Sugarbush is a great venue for the Grand Prix," said Win Smith, president of Sugarbush Resort. "We are honored to host this event and look forward to being inspired by these world class athletes."

Open practice for the U.S. Grand Prix begins on Friday, June 15. Racing action starts on Saturday, June 16, at 9 a.m. Finals will be on Sunday, June 17. An expo featuring manufacturers from the mountain bike industry as well as local bike shops will be held on Saturday and Sunday at the Lincoln Peak base area. Admission for spectators is free and open to the public.

Sugarbush Resort boasts a system of 33 downhill mountain bike trails at Lincoln Peak accessed by the Super Bravo Express chairlift. The resort maintains a mountain bike skills park and offers clinics and guided mountain bike tours through its Adventure Learning Center. A full service bike shop and repair facility offers downhill mountain bike rentals.
