To The Editor:
Why does it occur so often that when an individual or group does something nice for the public good, someone will not only complain but turn the complaint into a vitriolic tirade that is not only abusive but libelous as in the case of the haunted house when the Moretown firemen were accused of negligence in their duty.
This is a devoted group of men who serve voluntarily. It seems to be thankless work.
