We have spotted bicycles throughout Waitsfield and have heard some fine stories from the people who used them. If you have a bicycle story to tell, please send it along to any members of the bike committee or to Valerie Capels, Waitsfield town administrator. Bike committee members are: Laura Brines, Kari Dolan and Peter Lazorchak, Waitsfield;  Bobbi Rood and Sue Frechette, Warren; and Liz Weller, Moretown.

Looking ahead... We hope to get more bikes on the road next year. We are thrilled that Steve Skilton, and his HUHS students plan to repair 10 Mad Bikes this school year. They should be ready by the time the snow melts. We are looking for more adult bicycles and are planning to help the Mad River Valley Health Center with a bicycle swap for adults and children next spring. We hope that you will keep us in mind as you get ready to trade in your old for new. We will be looking for bicycles that are road ready or need only minor repairs. Watch for our announcements in future issues of The Valley Reporter.

All bicycles need to be returned to the Wait House by noon, October 19, so that they can be parked in their winter storage spot. Bike racks will be going into storage as well.

See you next year at the Farmers' Market and the Valley Walk and Roll Festival!
