Local girls head to ice hockey nationals

This past weekend Hayley Martini and Samantha Fuller of Fayston participated in the New England District Girls Ice Hockey Regional Tournament in Exeter, New Hampshire. Their team, the Vermont Stars, was among six of the top Tier I New England teams competing in the regional tournament. The Vermont Stars placed second in the tournament, qualifying them to play in the National Championship. The nationals will be held in Marlboro, Massachusetts, the last week in March, where the Vermont Stars will compete against teams from the Mid-Atlantic, Pacific and Rocky Mountain regions.
