Harwood wrestler Kyle Streeter, a junior, took first in the 220-pound weight class pinning all seven opponents in under 2 minutes and 40 seconds. Streeter faced off against John Ditmore of Franklin, MA, Kevin Santora of St. Johnsbury Academy, Shane Brown from  Bellows Falls, Paul Hotaling of Shaker, NY, Nathan Dupra of Rutland, Tyler LaPlant of Middlebury and Nick Scott of Coho, NY. Streeter is currently ranked first in the state at 220 pounds.

Harwood sophomore Kaegan Pearsall won the 182-pound bracket, also pinning all seven opponents in under 5 minutes and 40 seconds. Pearsall was matched against Jonah Blatt of Milton; Critian Peraza of Coho, NY, Charles Whitmore of Rutland, Tyler Kokoska of Franklin, MA, Jacob Trautwein of Middlebury, Pat Pfenning of Rutland and Steve Linowes from St. Johnsbury Academy. Pearsall is currently ranked third in Vermont at 182 pounds.

Teammates Samantha Gray and Joe Gates, both sophomores, also took part in the tournament.

Following the tournament, the team had one day of practice before heading down to Fair Haven, VT, to participate in a duals tournament on December 31, where Streeter, Pearsall and Gates each won all four of their matches.

The Harwood varsity team coach Brian Wagner, assistant coaches Casey Moulton and Matthew Pearsall, and the four-person team will be heading to Otter Valley for a tournament on Saturday, January 7.
