Last Saturday, there was a fundraiser for Circle, formerly Washington County's Battered Women's Services and Shelter, at the Senior Center in Waitsfield. Though there wasn't a lot of publicity, the donations of jewelry and scarves were wonderful and, as a result, it was a true benefit. Big thanks go to Bonnie Atwater, originator of the idea, and all of those who donated some wonderful things, who made great purchases and whose work made it possible.

I don't know when, but I understand it'll happen again. Bravo! To find out more about what we do, go to www.circlevt.org and in a couple of weeks, I'll see that our literature, donation forms, etc. are out and about in The Valley.
