To The Editor:
It is planting time for the birds and wild bush honeysuckle, that is. Millions of seeds are being planted by the birds now eating those bright-red paired berries on the thousands of bushes we now have around us. Look around, you won't have to go far: roadsides, edge of yards, fields, just about everywhere. They’re relatively new in our area as it's gotten warmer, so you can see only by looking at one shrub, small or large, how they all will multiply, invade, over a few years.
The best we can do now is pick off as many berries as possible (a fun thing for kids to do), put them in a plastic bag and send them to the dump as real trash and every little bit helps!
