To The Editor:
The Waitsfield Zoning Board of Adjustment would be remiss in denying Jake Cady a permit to put an addition on his existing building. Whether a second story should be required or not seems somewhat off base to me.
Over the years, Jake has maintained a service station which is a model of neatness and order. Driving by, one would hardly realize that a three-bay garage exists there. And the neat row of late model, clean used cars certainly isn't a detriment to the surroundings. It's not at all an eyesore.
It appears that Jake, in good faith, has gone overboard to comply as best as possible with ZBA requests. He desperately needs more space. Now it's time to give Jake a break.
